Koreans call their alphabet Hangul. Hangul was invented by King Sejong of the Choson Dynasty. The alphabet originally contained 28 letters composed of 11 vowels and 17 consonants. Today we will learn some basic greetings. So you can make friends with Korean.

"Annyung haseyo?(or Annyung?)  Na neun BoA yeyo."
안녕 하세요?  (안녕? )        나는  보아 예요.

Annyung means "Hi" or "Bye".
Annyung haseyo means "Hello".

When introducing yourself, you can say "Na neun---..."
Na neun --- means "I"
and Yeyo is like verb to be in English.
so “Na neun ----- yeyo” means “I am....”.
You can easily make many sentences with these words.

ex) “Na neun Boa yeyo.” = “I am BoA.”
“Na neun So hee yeyo.” = “I am Sohee.”

Try making simple sentences with your name.
Have fun with Korean!...Annyung...
