Today we will learn about  how to say when you eat some food! Since we are discussing heat in the tropical zone, I can’t help but think of spicy food. Koreans enjoy spicy food as much as Thais. The most famous food in Korea, as you know, is Kimchi. Kimchi is made of cabbage or radish. It is very tasty and it contains nutrition that helps lowering our chances of getting cancer.

At a somtam shop on one sweltering day when a somtam dish was served, Imm and her friends with utensils in hands wolfed down all the somtam or spicy papaya salad. Imm was the first to put spicy sliced papaya in her mouth. She took time chewing it, with her eyes closed she absorbed every taste it gave. Swallowed it down, she took a deep breathe and acclaimed out loud “Saab!!!”

Koreans call their alphabet Hangul. Hangul was invented by King Sejong of the Choson Dynasty. The alphabet originally contained 28 letters composed of 11 vowels and 17 consonants. Today we will learn some basic greetings. So you can make friends with Korean.
