From high school within an African-American neighbourhood in Maryland, USA to 4 years of undergraduate in London, the metropolis which she calls “the centre of the races from around the world”.

Once Imachi Nari ran into a childhood friend at a Thai students’ party in LDN, in a jaguar print outfit and bling-bling accessories, the friend didn’t recognise her at first. But as soon as they started talking, she made the same kind of jokes she enjoyed in their childhood. The two girls felt as though they were still wearing primary school uniform.
